The Second NWIBL All-Star game will be played on 8/29 starting 1PM ...this will be a 9 inning game followed by a league pot luck BBQ...(Will need a few BBQ's) Will set up in the park area behind the left field fence open to all League Players, Umpires, and families
 
Each team can submit 2 position players, 1 alternate and 1 pitcher......some of you will want to submit more and if you do they will be place on an alternate list and will be added as needed. Managers of the First and Second place champs will manage teams.

ALL-STAR GAME #1

Greens 1,4,6,8,and 10 teams going ahead of the Reds 2,3,5,7,9 teams 12-4 in 9 innings. Home runs for the Greens by JJ Moorman and PJ Hiser brought the league total to 24 for the year enabling the league to donate $240 to JDRF.  During the game the league donated $1 for each run, $1 for a single, $4 for a double $6 for a triple and $10 for each Home run to MS.  (16 runs, 19 singles, 3 doubles, 0 triples, 2 home runs Total $67 plus matching league funds; totals $134).

2009 Triple-A All-Star Game

The Portland Beavers, PGE Park and the city of Portland will play host to the multiple-day event, featuring elements that showcase the city of Portland and the entire state of Oregon on a national stage. The Triple-A All-Star Game, which will be celebrating its 22nd year in 2009, features the top players from Minor League Baseball’s top two leagues – the Pacific Coast League and International League – in a head-to-head contest that is annually broadcast to a national television audience on ESPN2.

Additional events planned surrounding the 2009 Triple-A All-Star Game in Portland include a home run derby and skills competition, All-Star Fan Fest and autograph sessions, All-Star Gala, All-Star Luncheon and several other events to mark the historic event.
